Skelmersdale is a town in West Lancashire, it is home to 38,813 people and is known by the name of Skem by the locals. Skelmersdale was a part of the new town building project in 1961 and it was promised many things such as jobs, a clean environment, facilities, a train station and many other things. Over 6 decades later barely any of these have come into practice and the town has been left a shadow of its old self. The community have long been fed up and impatient for West Lancashire Council to take notice and make any of the promised improvements to the town.`
